"SOFT WALK" design Stefan Nilsson.

The founder of Designgalleriet and trend expert Stefan NIlsson has designed three versions of rugs with words. All words are supposed to associate to youth culture with an attitude. The carpets are built on words with 70s typography, and should associate with disco, fun and a carefree attitude.

The words that the carpets consist of are swag, bruh och gurl. Limited Edition of eight (8). This is a collector's item,

Swag means to walk with stylish confidence. The origin of the word dates from the 60s when parties with LGBTQ themes were held. The abbreviation SWAG is supposed to stand for Secretly We Are Gay.

Colour choices are two: SWAG on blue and SWAG on burgundy.

Size 140x220cm/ 170x240cm/ 200x300cm.

We have used a special relief-kind of weaving technique making this rug. Surface is not flat but wool is cut in two heights. Weaving and cutting gives the rug a special urban twist.

MUM's

Mum's was born in South Africa in 2006, when Finnish Outi, an artist, and mum herself, collaborated with 15 African women. They made sculptures for an exhibition in Finland, all weaved by hand, designed by Outi, empowering women who worked from home. All women were mothers, so the project was named MUM's.

Later, it became the name for a sustainable brand "Mum's Good with Goods". Over the years a tiny art project has slightly developed into a sustainable design company, combining designers with sustainable production. Mum's has got production in four developing countries India, South Africa, Cambodia, and Bolivia. Everything is handmade as far as possible, people work from home, and save travel costs to operate. Materials are local either natural or recycled, and each Mum's product is signed by the artisan who made it.
