The pieces, which are often made from painted wood, are characterised by bright colours, unexpected ideas and playfulness. Anonen's works are reinventing the image of Finnish modern design and have received international attention. Hanna’s style is bold and unique and her expert skills have gained her assignments from many Finnish brands. Anonen received the Young Designer of the Year prize in 2021, awarded by Design Forum Finland.

Hanna Anonen designed carpets and wallrug for Mum's almost 3 years ago already. Then world turned around and freight ceased. It affected releasing this collection of many beautifully coloured carpets in various sizes, but we doThank Hanna for her kind patience. As finally late Spring 2023 brought Hanna's contemporary design rugs in Finland, made in the hands of Mum's artisans in a small village in Northern India, where artisans live and work.

Material is local wool from local sheep which wander free and are sheared animal friendly by hand. All Mum's production and materials are locally produced to reduce any extra harm for the environment. Skilled hands weave Hanna's collection, payment is fair and artisans most produc they may pay their kids go to school with the work of their hands for Mum's.

Made to order. Lead time approximately 16-20 weeks from the date of order- depending on the size and on the time of the order.  Each Mum's rug is unique and signatured by the artisan who made it. MUM's

Mum's was born in South Africa in 2006, when Finnish Outi, an artist, and mum herself, collaborated with 15 African women. They made sculptures for an exhibition in Finland, all weaved by hand, designed by Outi, empowering women who worked from home. All women were mothers, so the project was named MUM's.

Later, it became the name for a sustainable brand "Mum's Good with Goods". Over the years a tiny art project has slightly developed into a sustainable design company, combining designers with sustainable production. Mum's has got production in four developing countries India, South Africa, Cambodia, and Bolivia. Everything is handmade as far as possible, people work from home, and save travel costs to operate. Materials are local either natural or recycled, and each Mum's product is signed by the artisan who made it.

Mum’s carpets are made to order only. We manufacture all our carpets according to your wishes. The size selections available on the website are examples of the most demanded sizes based on the typical Scandinavian living room sizes. We hope they are useful when choosing the correct carpet size for your needs. Unfortunately, we cannot provide return or refund options for the made-to-order products.
