How the idea becomes real life
Everything at Mum’s starts with an idea.
Often a small, curious thought that slowly grows into something real. Our designs are shaped by playfulness, craftsmanship, and a love for unexpected details. We make things with care, humour, and heart, believing that even the smallest objects can carry meaning. Thoughtfully made pieces that bring softness, joy, and a gentle smile into everyday life.

Responsibilities
We design in Finland and produce around the world. When we purchase a finished product, the price is shared equally.
Half goes to the artisan. Half goes to the workshop manager.
Compensation is fair and agreed together. We buy sample pieces and second-quality products, and we never cancel orders.
Half is a fair deal.
Less but better.

Handmade in small batches
Fewer machines. More time.
Every piece takes time because it is made by hand.
Our products are woven, braided, sewn and finished by artisans, often working from their homes. Handcraft allows flexibility, supports everyday life and keeps traditional skills alive.
Each piece is signed by hand.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Workshops

We work with small workshops in Africa and India. Artisans meet regularly to deliver finished pieces, receive payment and new materials. Much of the work happens at home in ways that fit everyday life and family routines. We listen carefully to how our makers wish to work. Our goal is simple: to make work possible, respectful and human. Wherever the workshop is.

Family owned company since 2006
Our artisans in South Africa and India craft each piece slowly and by hand. They work from home, set their own schedules and create with joy.
Mum’s supports fair income, safe conditions and long-term work.
With Heart, as always.
