Mum' s Robotos Collection

The Robot collection began in 2010, when Arne was a curious six year old spending the day at home with his mum. While Mum was searching for robot images for a new Mum’s collection, Arne stopped, looked at the screen, and asked what was going on. When he heard that his mum was looking for inspiration, he answered with great seriousness and determination:

“I will draw you robots so you don’t need to steal other people’s ideas.”

Arne disappeared into his room and returned with paper and coloured pens. He began to draw. Robots with big teeth to remind us to brush our teeth. Robots with wings that could fly through walls. Robots with many hands to help more. A robot wearing a striped dress, just like his mum’s.

Each robot was drawn with care, imagination, and respect. Arne’s drawings were later brought to life as soft toys, handmade by women artisans and sold at Artek stores. In 2024, the robots returned once again, celebrating Arne’s 20 year milestone. This time as BEADiful wall art, handcrafted by women artisans in India.
