Mum's palaa alkujuurille Afrikkaan sinne, missä Mum's vuonna 2006 suomalaisen neljän lapsen taiteilijaäidin taideprojektina alkoi.

Mum's returns to Africa where all in year 2006 started as an art project of a Finnish artist mother of four kids.

Mum'sin alkuaikoina valmistimme yhdessä eteläafrikkalaisten naisten kanssa koruja, laukkuja ja varjostimia. Nyt varjostimiin suunniteltu pari muotoa lisää ja esittelemme "Pohjoisen kukat"- sarjan, johon kuuluvat varjostimet Kielo, Lumme ja Vuokko. Design Outi Puro ja valmistettu 100% käsityönä ylijäämäisestä puhelinjohtovaijerista, jota ostamme paikallisen puhelinlaitoksen vyyhtiylijäämänä.

In the early days of Mum's, we made jewelry, bags and lampshades together with South African women. Now a couple more shapes designed for the shades and presenting "Northern flowers" series, which includes shades Kielo ( Lily Of Te Valley) , Lumme (Waterlily) and Vuokko ( Anemone). Designed in FInland by Outi Puro and made fairly and 100% by hand from surplus telephone wire, which we buy as a surplus from the local telephone company in South Africa.
