Interior architect Päivi Himanen from Turku, Finland, chose her favorite from Mum's selection. You will find the favorites of Mum's collection at the end of this text.
Päivi's style could be described as "urban natural". Päivi creates visually thoughtful spaces. Functional balanced space solutions, inviting with warmth. Beautiful, durable, uncomplicated and made for relaxed living. The spaces designed by Päivi are inhabited by lyricism and harmony, which extends deeper than the surface. Seh designs also for the soul.
Päivi studied interior architecture in Italy. On the nubile stone streets of Rome she drove crosswise - with a vespa.
Feels like Päivi is really exploring and reflecting on spaces with a sensitive sense, like a philosopher. She is genuinely interested both in the people who live in the space and use it, and that people feel comfortable and keep well. As an aesthetician, she sees shapes, elements, relationships, movement, the rhythm of each space in the space, and eventually creates a beautiful space like a painting, a beautiful work of art. In her space, it somehow shows the heartbeat of the big city of Rome, which young Päivi once absorbed after living in Italy for years. A combination of Rome, and Nordic clean and simple style. That dialogue and their combo make Päivi's planning in the premises unique. They are inhabited not only by peace, goodness and even touching beauty, but also by urban chic style.
